The selection is based on the patient's body and physiological parameters and the population pharmacokinetics of the drug.

The proposed solution is the online system for optimal pharmacotherapy within the module ePrescription/medication and it is the part of a comprehensive information system for GPs, clinicians and pharmacist in the context of E–Health.

The Calculator is connectable to other systems and databases within the IS–E–Health for GPs, clinicians and pharmacists.

The System is innovative in the way of information about drug metabolism & possible DDIs based on this mechanism (substrate x inhibitor x inductor). The dose adjustment algorithm of interacting drugs is developed to avoid the DDIs. The Calculator also enables the dose adjustment of several drugs according to patient's genotype/phenotype.
